IRO is an Iraqi NGO founded in the first of Feb 2005, it registered in (Non-Governmental Organization Assistance Office) under a license No. (1Z44707). IRO staff has experiences about two years of continuous humanitarian achievements with international . organizations, in Najaf from Jun. 2003 to Dec. 2004. IRO is concerning with improving the life quality for people who were affected by the wars or oppression conflicts in Iraq. It is especially concerned with the fields of Water, Sanitation, Health, Rehabilitation, Child protection, Observing Human rights, IDPs, cultural programs and providing relieves in emergency cases. We are looking forward to comply with the needs of the community. |

v Rehabilitating more than 160 schools sanitation in rural areas around Najaf. v Rehabilitating 55 water compact treatment plans in rural areas around Najaf. v Extension water networks for more than 24 villages. v Constructing 10 schools sanitation in rural areas and the center of Najaf. v Constructing and rehabilitating 4 centers for youths (males and females). v Constructing 20 school playing yards. v Constructing a great water tank in Alsadir Hospital in Najaf with capacity 650000 liters. v Repairing 38 medical instruments for Alsadir Hospital. v Providing and supplying medical instruments for Maternity Hospital. v Providing and supplying medical instruments for Alhakeem Hospital. v Providing urgent aids for more than 750 families in Najaf and Karbala. v Observing prisons and appointing layers to discover any violations and trying to recover them especially with children less than 18 years. v Providing and supplying emergency drugs which are in need and not available during the Najaf war April 2004. v Rehabilitating the incinerator unit in Al-Hakeem hospital. v Implementing great assessment for child protection and reason behind children escape from the schools. v Digging two wells in Najaf west Desert (Al-Lasuf and Brejat Hamad) to supply drinking water to the people whom are living there. And so many other projects.
v Providing workshops for unemployed persons to make them getting good chances for working. v Providing working chances for unemployed IDPs in Najaf. v Re holding another Mobile Clinic serving the rural areas. v Providing another more assistance for the IDPs including health and Watson services and providing incomes programs. v Holding training medical and cultural courses in rural areas. v Extension
water networks in rural areas in Najaf. v Submitting urgent needs for IDPs for encourage them
to return back their original places. vWorking on developing returnees programs and great
comfortable atmosphere for the IDP families to convince them to return back
home. v Working on creating
good relationship between the returnees and host communities through
developing integration programs. v Submitting Watson services for effected and rural community
who took a good role for helping IPDs. v Supplying urgent needs for handicaps in Najaf,
Kerbela, Hilla and Dewaniya.
